Minecraft VR Trapped in Dungeon Quest Second Week Reflection

Last time for the Minecraft VR Trapped in a Dungeon game, my teammates and I have created the start of the game. We are currently making a video game from Minecraft to a VR game for Minecraft. We have started off the game by finding a village for the start of the game, gave the player the main storyline so they know what they are supposed to do. We created the first dungeon level for the player to travel around and try finding the checkpoint and iron door leading to the second dungeon level. We were also able to create the second level to and we made the doorway for the third level. If you want to read the full blog, then use the link below to read it.

From 12/1/18 to 12/18/18, I have helped out with all of the traps that were placed to make the player experience many challenges to complete the level. I also made some of the levels as well. I edited the levels to make them even better than before. I even made the stairway for level 3 to begin. I added even more little traps no one will or has experienced before in Minecraft.

I thought that I was going to complete level 3, but my group and I didn't get to finish the 3rd level. At least we were able to start the flooring and the room for level 3.

I struggled with creating new ideas for traps. I think I should look on the internet to see some cool and interesting ways to trap other players/have them face many difficult and interesting challenges along the way.

I was challenged with trying to fix traps for each level and making the stairways friendly for the VR user. I also made sure that the game was running well in the game and wasn't facing difficulties with playing. One of the times, there was a skeleton that kept hitting the pressure plate and kept making teammates and I were getting teleported to a random location. Luckily, I was able to find the skeleton and kill it so it wouldn't randomly teleport the player every time it stepped on the pressure plate.
We are planning on creating the third level and possibly complete the fourth level. I for one, am going to try to do as much as possible to continue making this game marvelous. For the end goal, I hope to learn more about the experiences the players face so they would not get annoyed and for the game to run smoothly. I hope that next week we can get more players to try out the game to learn more about the bugs in our game. I hope we will be able to finish all of the traps from the dungeon to the battle to finish the game.

The Oregon Trail Review

The Oregon Trail

TNT Runners Final Game

I originally intended to create a game that would be fun for everyone. A game that was multiplayer with having players to run out of the way from falling off the stage.

The challenges for the game was making it fun for multiple people. I also had to learn ways for the game to work and coping the TNT every time someone dies. I had at least 2 people test my game. I talked with the people who tested my game and they told me that I could improve it for its story. So, that's what I did. I make the game have more story and more of an explanation to play the game. I was glad that I was able to have to game run successfully. I wish I knew that I needed to make the story of the game a whole lot better!

Clue, the board game

Clue
Storyline:
It starts at a dinner party hosted by Mr. Boddy, who admitted that he blackmailed his visitors. The guest has been giving aliases like Mrs. Peacock, Miss Scarlet, Mr. Green, Professor Plum, Miss White, and Col. Mustard. When Boddy is murdered, each of the guests has to work together to find out who is the killer.
Game Mechanics:
They are a lot of weapons, rooms, and characters in this game. Each player gets a turn to investigate a person by going into the room that they are in, their weapon, and who caused the murder. Each player gets to chose a card of their choice, then one person puts a character, a weapon, and a room card in an envelope to stop the players from seeing who killed Mr. Boddy. Once there are no more cards left, each player has to use their notepad to write down what they know about the characters, the weapons, and the rooms that can't be where the murder happened. Miss Scarlet starts the game by rolling the dice, and then have the character move to a place based on how many spaces they have. The other player has to prove you wrong when you are investigating a player. Then, check off the notepad of what the other player showed you.
Rules:
Each player gets a chance to interrogate someone to see if they have killed Mr. Boddy in a specific room, with a specific person and a specific weapon. Someone will show you a card to prove that you chose the wrong person, place, or weapon. You would use your notepad in order to mark down what you know, and possibly win the game from that.

Aesthetics:
The game actually doesn't look bad at all. The cards just look tremendous and the rooms look really good.

Overall Thought:
This is a really fun family board game that anyone should play. I recommend that anyone should go out and buy this game for family game night.

As you see down below, the board game, Clue, has made many variations of the game. You might just find your favorite TV show or movie!

Minecraft VR Trapped in Dungeon Quest First Week Reflection

Last time for the Minecraft VR Trapped in Dungeon game, my teammates and I have created a design document for how we will create a Minecraft game in VR. We have slowly but surely are creating the levels from 1 to another. We always have someone trying the game in VR for any suggestions that we may need. If you haven't read the last form, here is the link
https://randomman356.blogspot.com/2018/11/minecraft-vr-trapped-in-dungeon-quest.html
From the beginning of the project to 11/30/2018, we found a village to use for the beginning of the game. We added signs to let the player know what they were going to do and the story. Then, they were traveled to the dungeon, where the villain has created to make the player battle him. After completing that main portion, we have completed level 1 of our game and started to work on level 2. Below, you will be able to see some of my team's creations with the help of me!

Now those are all of my pictures that I would be able to show you guys for my VR Minecraft Project. I am surprised that we are able to start to work on our 2nd level of the game. I personally think that the game is going very well and that I hope it would continue to be completed at around this speed. I think it was very challenging for the team and me to understand what it is like when experiencing the game in VR. I think that the maze is very successful with how it was created and how the traps work perfectly. I hope that next week my group and I could start working on level 3 and finishing level 2. I hope we would also learn more of the bugs and issues that our game has to make it better.

My goals for next week is to accomplish the commands and teleport for the second level and possibly start working on some commands and traps for the 3rd level. I want to learn more commands to complete this game. I know that if I learn these new and different commands, then I should be successful with creating the VR Minecraft game. I had the struggle of facing some commands that I never completed in Minecraft before. For instance, I didn't know how to make a chain command block for a bunch of enemies to spawn at once. I learned it with the help of my teammates and the internet. I had to make sure that I could complete each and every command that is regarding each trap. I think that I am doing a very well job at creating a VR Minecraft game, and I hope that I get even better at creating the levels and challenges for this game.
